A finished stereo mix contains overlapping instruments, vocals, ambience and effects. A separator estimates where those elements belong; it cannot open the original recording session or guarantee artifact-free isolation.

1. Prepare the source

Use the highest-quality authorized source you have, but do not upsample a compressed file merely to change its label. Check that the ending is complete, the file decodes and the size is under the current 100 MB limit.

2. Run two-stem separation

3. Audit difficult passages

Check exposed lead vocals, doubled choruses, cymbal crashes, distorted guitars, wide reverbs and quiet fades. Those areas contain overlapping cues that can produce bleed, watery edges or missing backing elements.

Listen to vocals and backing together after separation. A soloed artifact may be masked in the intended mix, while a missing transient can become obvious only when stems are recombined.
